2021 was a WILD year in the housing market across the country. Middle-class homes were flying off the shelves with multiple offers and selling in record time. Inventory levels dipped below 2 months multiple times which hasn’t happened in decades. And…all of this managed to happen in the middle of a global pandemic.

Canadian Housing Prices Expected Rise 9.2% in 2022
The sun may be setting on 2021, but it certainly is not setting on the Real Estate market. Canadian home prices are expected to rise a staggering 9.2% according to a housing market outlook report published by RE/MAX on Wednesday December 2, 2021.

The title says it all. In Oxford Economics‘ recent report, Edmonton remains near the top of the ranks when it comes to housing affordability in North America. Edmonton just misses the top three; narrowly losing out to only Columbus, Quebec City, and Chicago.
